A native of Columbus, OH, Natalie Orr focuses on the beauty of women through explosions of color. Using models, Natalie's work is completely hand-drawn without the use of projectors before any paint touches the canvas. Influenced by the bold colors of Charmaine Oliva and Peter Terrin, Natalie's work combines other-worldly color and striking realism to create an intense and pleasurable viewing experience.
With her signature "Nat" hidden within each painting, Natalie actively invites the viewers to examine her pieces closely and intimately so detail can be overlooked.
Winner of The Columbus Arts Festival Best Emerging Artist in 2014, Natalie has been exhibited at "Femme Noire" and "Forceful Perceptions" the Kings Art Complex, Lew Griffith Galleries, and Girl and Guy Republic. She currently lives and works in Columbus, OH.
